January – |
| |
No need to slow down your creative thinking
after the holidays. There are
some great art activity ideas for young
children.
January is oatmeal month. Turn oatmeal into a
great kindergarten art activity. You know you
don't always have to eat oatmeal. With a little
flour oatmeal and water you can make oatmeal
objects that you can then actually paint.
January is also the home of
old rock day.
Kids love to paint and decorate rocks
with all kinds of stuff. You'll get some real
interesting characters and animals and other
creations when you turn your kids loose finding
interesting rocks and having them paint them

TIP: |
|
| |
| |
I used to make copies of many of my favorite
pages in the books then put the copies into a
3-ring binder in sheet protectors so I could use
them more than once and I always knew where they
were as I also organized them by activity and
month. Hope you enjoyed the sampling of all the
different preschool art activities and
others you can add to your
homeschool calendar!
